How it is counted
The number includes directly measured and reconstructed visits. Cloudflare provides the visits metric only for a limited historical period. For the first 16 days after launch, the ratio between daily Cloudflare unique visitors and visits observed in the overlapping period was therefore used. Since 13 July 2026 all visits are measured directly and continuously. The value is cumulative and loses no visits to a rolling window; later source corrections remain possible.
Vienna Living Map uses no analytics cookies, no user ID and no session ID.

How does VLM count visits without cookies?
From Cloudflare’s aggregated edge statistics: daily counts per site, without cookies, without a user ID and without a session ID. Personal housing decisions — saved places, notes, decision histories — stay on the device and are never counted.
Is a visit a person?
No. Returning visits can be counted more than once, and depending on the Cloudflare dataset automated access can be part of the technical reach metric.
